Your Role and Responsibilities

Companies have more choices than ever before between on-premise off-premise or a hybrid approach. As an Associate Infrastructure Specialist you’ll be responsible for keeping up with the latest changes using your expertise to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our clients and products. In your role you may be responsible for:

Define analyze and review technical architecture on required platform and coming up with architecture options and recommendations
Define detail and scope the technical requirements into solutions
Work across key activities in configuration systems management tools and backup and recovery
Support Technical Consultants and lead in building solutions and providing technical mentoring and guidance

• Provides production support for existing in-house developed SCADA applications 3rd-party vendor provided applications and other home-grown applications.
• Interfaces with trade floor real-time trading personnel ISO and third-party technical representatives and field crews to provide solutions to data and telemetry challenges.
• Responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end users through email phone calls in-person interactions or remote connections and to provide actionable solutions.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing technological issues with hardware or software and collaborating with other members of IT teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Responsible for evaluating optimizing configuring and maintaining NEER IT applications including SCADA systems. Able to work extended hours.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• This position will be responsible for working with our AD Architect and platform engineering team to support the design and implementation of Active Directory projects aimed at hardening our cyber security posture and providing robust and reliable authentication services.
• This position will also be responsible for delivering on projects related to Azure Authentication services such as Azure AD AD Connect and SSO. This person will be required to work with application development teams to assess and implement authentication solutions in support of their projects. The candidate is expected to possess a strong Microsoft Active Directory Azure AD and VMware management background as well as communication and collaboration skills.
• Solution Design / Architecture
a. Meet with stakeholders to understand problem or opportunity gather and document requirements
b. Develop high-level design documentation to be reviewed and approved by NEE Sr. Architect(s)
c. Develop low-level detailed designs and build/configuration documentation
d. Development of strategies to strengthen and modernize our Corporate Active Directory Environments to be reviewed and approved by NEE Sr. Architect(s)
• Build / Implement Solutions
e. Build solutions for authentication and system infrastructure
f. Validate operational readiness
g. Complete all required documentation and turnover support to operations team through knowledge transfer
h. Support the implementation of Azure authentication services projects
i. Utilize Scrum and Jira to track and report progress on projects
• Operational Excellence
a. Provide engineering support to our IT operations team and handle escalations from the team to resolve critical issues in the Active Directory and Azure AD environments.
b. Implement Azure Single Sign On and Conditional Access policies to support our application development teams
