Associate Actuary

The Associate Actuary is responsible for developing, maintaining and executing actuarial models for use in projecting financial information needed for planning annual Asset Adequacy Testing as well as monthly and quarterly valuation. This role ensures accurate representation of liabilities in OneAmerica GAAP and Statutory financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting tasks, including review, analysis, and communication of results
• Modernize reporting tools, with an emphasis on controls, best practices, and documentation
• Conduct runout testing and sensitivity analysis on reserve assumptions
• Perform annual GAAP and Stat experience studies and document the results
• Collaborate with IT, Operations, and Claims to enhance data used in financial reporting
• Adhere to OneAmerica standards of practice

Qualifications & Requirements:

• BS/BA in math, actuarial science, economics, or related fields
• Associate of the Society of Actuaries
• 3-5 years Industry Experience
• Experience with actuarial modeling software (Prophet, ALFA, GGY-Axis)
• Experience with Microsoft Excel & VBA
• Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background

Salary Band: 05C

This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, WI, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
