Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 4:00pm with extended hours as necessary

About This Position:

This role will be part of the Strategic Initiatives and Analytics team supporting FPL Meter Operations. In this role, the team member will be responsible for a variety of complex and cross-functional initiatives which will ultimately require the team member to become a subject matter expert in FPL's metering processes. The team member will also be responsible for leveraging their advanced analytical skill to streamline and automate operational processes, where applicable. Additional responsibilities will include the identification and contribution to business processes improvements as well as the creation of meaningful and actionable analyses and metrics. A strong bias for action and a proven track record of execution on projects and deliverables is expected.

Additional Responsibilities:• Programming skills to obtain data and present information using data visualization techniques (R, Python, Power BI, SQL). Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools is preferred.• Experienced and self-sufficient in obtaining data from various database sources (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle, Redshift) using odbc or jdbc connections• Experience with Machine Learning techniques (classification, regression, feature selection, etc.), including assessing effectiveness of the data model• Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to support special projects and initiatives• Experience with IT project design and execution including defining documenting requirements, managing stakeholders, and time management• Knowledge of Six Sigma Quality Tools and Techniques a plus
