Job Description

Invesco’s Emerging Market Credit team is looking to hire an Associate Credit Analyst to be based in Atlanta. The individual will report directly to the Head of Emerging Markets Credit Research and will be responsible for conducting bottom up fundamental research on a number of sectors (Oil & Gas, Utilities, etc) for issuers based mainly in Latin America (LatAm) and Central Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA). The associate credit analyst will provide investment recommendation to the EM team as well as to the broader IFI platform.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:
· Driving investment performance at security level for assigned EM coverage set and provide value add to the investment process at industry and sub-industry levels, working closely with other analysts and portfolio managers to monitor key portfolio risks
· Ensure integrity of and adherence to the IFI credit research process with strong fundamental research skills and ESG analysis. This includes alignment with IFI philosophy, consistency in approach, and delivery of output requirements
· Partner with Research heads, Portfolio Managers (PMs), and Client Portfolio Managers (CPM) in supporting the business commercially, including client engagement, sales support, thought leadership and other branding initiatives when called upon
· Participate in relevant IFI sector teams and support IFI summits
· Engagement and support for all PMs and more broadly, ensure cross-over ideas are communicated appropriately across relevant teams
· Active engagement and coordination with other IFI investors to support top down and bottom up initiatives as needed
· Develop and maintain working relationships with the issuers as well as with the sell side (ie the investment banks)


Work Experience / Knowledge:
· 0-3 years of experience in finance, economics accounting or a related field


Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:
· Team player
· Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
· Strong communication skills (written and oral)
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point and Word)
· Basic knowledge of corporate finance and financial accounting
· Strong fundamental credit analytical ability with attention to detail

Formal Education:
· Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS). Master’s Degree and/or CFA preferred but not required.
