As our Associate Director, Analytics, you will...

Be Accountable and Responsible

  • Work closely with key clients to understand measurement and reporting needs and tailor viable web analytics solutions, dashboard solutions and analytics models
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in the measurement space to understand the client’s data landscape and determine how to best leverage different data sources while recommending future data collection infrastructure optimizations
  • Act as a data advisor and project leader for the analytics work stream for internal and external clients
  • Manage, provide growth and up skill team of 4+ analysts
  • Ability to partner with cross-functional teams
  • Expert at leading the efficient design and execution of scalable solutions to solve complex business problems for multiple clients
  • Develop data strategies and playbooks to digital transformation for brands across different industries
  • Adept at communicating and representing results of analysis in a simple way to clients
  • Proactive at performing exploratory data analysis to understand patterns, identify business drivers and unearth insights to fuel optimization to improve customer experiences
  • Responsible for owning all aspects of A/B testing from test design to delivering learnings and passionate about harvesting a strong testing culture

These are the qualifications we’re looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work history
  • 8+ years of digital analytics experience using tools such as Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of statistics (hypothesis setting, experimental design, modeling etc.)
  • 8+ years of experience in digital measurement, strategic planning, analysis, quantitative research, data modeling, and/or management consulting work in a data-driven environment 
  • 8+ years of partnering with client teams to establish deep knowledge of their business needs and independently present a holistic story (integrating quantitative and qualitative data touch points)
  • 5+ years of managing, mentoring and up skilling data analytics teams
  • Familiarity with use case generation for data platforms e.g. Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Data Management Platforms (DMPs)
  • Expertise in engineering and orchestrating learning agendas
  • Excellent process and project management skills to deliver a variety of concurrent and fast-moving projects from initiation to execution
  • Proficient in applying shared learnings and emerging industry trends across client engagements
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels including Email, Display, Paid Search and Social Media marketing
  • Collaborate cross-discipline to identify and capitalize on business growth opportunities
  • Hands-on experience utilizing A/B testing tools e.g. Optimizely or Google Optimize and conducting incrementality / lift studies
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools e.g. Google Data Studio, Domo, Power BI and Tableau
  • Self-starter with a solution-oriented mindset and experience communicating with clients and cross-functional internal teams; adept at presenting solution tradeoffs 
  • Able to drive multiple projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with limited guidance
  • Ability to work at a detailed level while maintaining an overall project perspective
  • Thrive at sharing team’s intellectual capital across client workstreams to improve efficiency of projects
  • Exhibit team leadership in facilitating knowledge share and training programs
  • Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills

Bonus Qualifications

  • Exposure to retail, financial or health industry
  • Basic proficiency with SQL, Python or R
  • Experience with cross-channel journey analysis, marketing attribution modeling, experimental/causal inference methods, linear/regression modeling, k-NN, naive Bayes, SVM, random forest, etc.
  • Familiarity with the expanding role of Data Cloud Platforms (e.g. Google BigQuery) in the data landscape

Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000

Salary differential is based on seniority, merit, education, training and experience. MERGE’s career ladders reflect department growth from Associate through Partner levels, with details of roles and responsibilities associated with each level. New hires are assigned a job level within a particular position based on these criteria and salary is set within the job level based on these criteria. Growth from one level to the next occurs when employees master their role, and are promoted into the next level, generally during salary review cycles which are posted in the employee handbook.
