Job Description

RAPP Chicago is looking for an Associate Director of Experience Strategy to join our award-winning Experience Strategy team.

WHO WE ARE:

We think too much marketing isn’t us. It’s mass markets not audiences of one. Homogenous groups to be targeted, not individuals to be inspired. Segments to reach, not people with their own ideas and ambitions. It’s one size fits all and it’s dull.

When it comes to individuals, we’re fierce. We stand up for individuality. We speak up against bland, broad-brush generalizations. We fight for solutions that adapt to the individual’s needs, beliefs, behaviors and aspirations. And we commit to doing this in every aspect of our work for clients and their consumers.

We actively foster an inclusive workplace where diversity and individual difference are valued and leveraged to achieve the agency’s vision. And most importantly we value every individual’s wellbeing.

We are Fiercely Individual.

HOW WE DO IT:

At RAPP we are fiercely focused on the individual and how we can create value from every individual’s experience with a brand. We do this across three capability areas: customer centric consulting, creativity that inspires action and customer experience management.

Our data analysts know who that person is. Our strategists understand what they want. And our award-winning Technologists and Creatives know how to get it to them.

RAPP is an integral part of Omnicom’s Precision Marketing Group, comprising 4,000 creatives, technologists, strategists, and data and marketing scientists across 40 global markets.

YOUR ROLE:

The Associate Director, Experience Strategy will own the development and execution of acquisition, nurture and loyalty strategy for the United States Army. The role will have responsibility for all aspects of program definition and design, creating brand experiences that drive high quality leads through conversion milestones to join the Army, through to retention and advocacy. As the day-to-day owner of the strategic vision for how the brand engages you’ll help to translate your strategy into action, shepherding campaigns through to activation, working with internal and external partners to drive the development of work and bring innovative approaches to client challenges.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development of CRM strategy across the United States Army account
  • Own all strategic deliverables across the account, such as annual strategic plans, campaign strategies, creative briefs, customer journeys or personas
  • Have the confidence, gravitas, presentation and relationship-building skills to drive change across client stakeholders and build the vision for CRM
  • Act as a valued partner to creative and technology leadership, collaboratively developing new experiences and compelling creative ideas
  • Partner with Marketing Sciences to develop integrated test and measurement plans
  • Contribute to strategic recommendations on core CRM technologies (CDPs, journey orchestration tools etc) in partnership with technology team members
  • Be a champion for CRM strategy within the office, network, and Omnicom at large
  • Strategically build client relationships and trust, and proactively identify business opportunities
  • Drive integrated media recommendations by working closely with media and other integrated agency partners
  • Contribute to growing our thought leadership program
  • Contribute to a working environment in which diversity, unique perspectives, collaboration, and ‘jumping in’ thrives.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Specific experience in CRM strategy development, owning the client’s strategy from conception to delivery
  • Experience managing and owning the development and delivery of strategic deliverables (campaign strategies, customer journeys, creative briefs etc) across complex client accounts
  • Experience working with complex, large client accounts
  • Confidence in working with senior clients on complex projects with impressive presentation skills, gravitas and credibility
  • Strong understanding of the data driven marketing landscape and a desire to invent the future of marketing

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • You’ll have a track record of getting things done – you’ll need to be a driving force behind our desire to ‘keep our clients ahead of the game’. We want you to challenge their conventions and bring their strategies to life.
  • Interpersonally savvy – you will need to be able to handle the client on your own, lead projects and be their trusted advisor at RAPP.
  • You’ll support the rest of the team in their professional development by inputting to and quality controlling their delivery.

Our hybrid work model:

RAPP's current hybrid model is designed to enable in-person connections and collaboration that is core to our culture, while also supporting flexibility for all employees. As such, we have the option to work from home two days per week, if we'd like.

RAPP provides a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits plan. Benefits for this role include health/vision/dental insurance, 401(k), stock options, Healthcare & Dependent Flexible Spending Accounts, vacation, sick, and personal days and positive activism days, paid parental leave and disability benefits. For more information regarding Omnicom benefits, please visit www.omnicombenefits.com. A reasonable estimate of the salary for this role, at the time of posting, is $110,000 - $135,000. This range is specific to Chicago and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position. If your requirements fall outside of this range, you are still welcome to apply.

“As an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status.”
