The Associate, Finance & Business Operations will help drive company-level strategic and operational initiatives that accelerate Kajabi’s growth, performance and market position in the Knowledge Economy through the analysis of data.

The mission of the Associate, Finance & Business Operations will be to align Kajabi’s execution to its strategic vision by partnering with leaders across the company to develop business and growth strategies, refine Kajabi’s understanding of market trends and opportunities, drive key strategic and operational projects and to be the financial reporting “source of truth” for customer and revenue analytics. 

With a combination of exceptional analytical skills, an insatiable curiosity and an entrepreneurial “get stuff done” mindset, the Associate, Finance & Business Operations will help Kajabi better understand its customers and products and will drive changes that shape the future of the company. 

The role will report to our Senior Manager, Finance & Business Operations located in our Irvine, CA office.

The Impact you will make:

• Develop a deep understanding of the key growth drivers of the business and the roles of Kajabi’s functional teams in executing growth initiatives
• Define critical KPIs, dashboards and operating rhythms to help functional teams manage performance and establish operational rigor
• Drive financial budgeting, planning and forecasting processes and lead modeling of customer-level data and revenue projections
• Serve as a point person for the Executive Team in understanding metrics, movements and trends in the business, specifically as they relate to historical customer data and trends such as churn, retention and pricing
• Work with senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Customer Support and Marketing to define strategic priorities and goals that translate into a trackable forecast; manage and track forecasts along with other “top level” metrics that help inform company-wide planning and goal-setting
• Partner with leaders throughout Kajabi to build business cases for new initiatives; drive the “follow through” on those initiatives to ensure smooth execution
• Support the Finance & Business Operations team in all aspects of reporting and communication with external stakeholders (e.g., Board Members, Investors)
• Develop monthly, quarterly and annual financial performance summary presentations
• Execute and enable all financial analysis related to improving the company's financial performance
• Tackle ambiguous strategic questions facing the business

Attributes for Success:

• 3 - 5 years of experience in a variety of financial, strategic, analytical and operational roles
• 2+ years of direct technology / SaaS experience at a fast-growing company 
• 2+ years in consulting, venture capital, investment banking, or private equity 
• BI, consulting, investing, analytics, growth and/or product management experience 
• Dexterity with creation, management and presentation of complex financial models 
• Comfort analyzing large sets of customer data and related industry metrics, including churn, retention and pricing
• Ability to operate “full stack” and to query data, interpret and analyze data and make clear, compelling insights that drive action
• Structured “systems” problem solving ability that balances quick wins and actionability with long-term, scaled solutions through repeatable systems and processes
• Comfort with operational details such that partnership with analytical, data, product and engineering teams is seamless and execution-focused 
• Entrepreneurial disposition and a self-starter capable of independently seeking information, corralling resources and delivering results 
• Ability to “roll up your sleeves” to execute a self-designed process starting from analytics through the final reporting deliverable
• Strong communication skills with agility to converse with technical teams and to share insights with non-technical senior audiences 
• “Safe hands” and ability to present financial information accurately
• Track record of communicating financial information to executives and external parties
• Proactive, self-directed and high-energy contributor with commitment to and ownership of work product
• Required Technical Skills: Excel (& other Office products), Google Products (GSuite, GCP, Google Analytics), Looker
• Familiarity with: Rippling, Greenhouse, Jira, Slack
• Great to Have Technical Skills: SQL, LookML, HEX, R, Python, Tableau, VBA, Financial Planning software (Mosaic, Causal, Pigment, etc.)

Bonus Capabilities:

• B2C or B2SMB SaaS experience is a plus!
• Working knowledge of SaaS KPIs, ARR, MRR, NRR, Churn, LTV, CAC, and cohort based analysis
• Interest in all-things related to the Creator Economy!

The salary range for this US-based role is $78,536-$104,715 + bonus + equity + benefits (health, welfare, retirement, and paid leave). Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, education, certain degrees, training, certifications, geographic location, travel requirements, and business needs.
