Associate Manager, Sourcing/Procurement

Ventures Endurance, a division of Gannett/USA Today Network, is seeking an experienced, creative, and motivated Paid Social Media Associate to join our marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing our marketing and social media strategy with the goal of growing our online presence and improving marketing efforts. This position will report to the Associate Marketing Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain strong relationships with business partners both domestically and overseas.

• Source, purchase, and manage participant wearables, medals, and giveaways for all events across the portfolio.

• Work closely with the Marketing and Design teams on future projects for events to ensure budgetary and overall goals for the event are being met.
• Align purchases and designs with Event Director for budgetary and stylistic purposes.

• Communicate with all necessary departments about various timelines, deadlines, production, shipping etc. updates about projects.

• Monitor orders from beginning of production to arrival at final destination. This includes but is not limited to a basic understanding of international business and shipping & logistics.

• Maintain inventory levels and be able to present multiple options to team members if inventory levels become low.
• Negotiation with vendors to collect competitive bids and secure lowest prices.

• Organizational skills to keep track of over one hundred product cycles throughout the calendar year

• Strong communicator who can provide information in clear and concise ways to both internal staff as well as English-second-language speakers

• Experience operating and working with budgets

• Understanding of project management and supply chain
