Job Description
Summary
This position is in the Office of Workers' Compensation Programs (OWCP) Ombuds Office within the Office of the Director and reports to the Ombudsperson.
This position is outside the bargaining unit.

- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Requires a probationary period if the requirement has not been met.
- Candidate required to obtain the necessary security/investigation level.
Qualifications

Applicants must have at least 52 weeks of experience at the next lower level in the position being filled. Examples of specialized experience would include work experience in most of the areas as follows:
- Applying Alternative Dispute Resolution methods or community relations methods to resolve complaints.
- Facilitating or mediating groups or individuals to negotiate jointly acceptable resolution of issues in conflict.
- Analyzing technical and/or sensitive policy issues, identifying trends, and presenting policy recommendations.
- Communicates or presents technical information and/or sensitive information to management, a customer, or an audience.
- Facilitating large group discussions or dialogue on sensitive or confidential issues.
Education
Any applicant falsely claiming an academic degree from an accredited school will be subject to actions ranging from disqualification from federal employment to removal from federal service.
