Associate Software Development Engineer
As an Associate Software Engineer, you will work on an Agile team developing solutions and technologies that will shape our customers' hospitality experience. You will collaborate with other team members to ensure all supported Amadeus Hospitality technology offerings, including existing products and platforms, are secure and scalable, of exceptional quality, and deliver high value to our customers.
Common responsibilities:

Works autonomously within defined processes and procedures or methodologies, makes standard decisions and may support the development of solutions to complex problems of a recurring nature.

Receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level developers and/or managers, with regular monitoring on the status of the assignments.

May have specialized formal education or equivalent work experience and have the required technical and functional skills and basic knowledge of the business.
Specific responsibilities:
Analyze specifications
-
Define user requirements for the development of new (or upgrade of existing) software solutions.
Design systems and code
-
Understand the design provided by architects and/or senior engineers and perform feasibility studies.
-
Propose viable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation.
-
Develop software according to product specifications and Amadeus standards.
Test and maintain software
-
Conduct unit, functional and performance tests and ensure a level of quality in line with Amadeus guidelines.
-
Participate in the validation phase of the product cycle, fine-tuning when necessary to finalize the product.
-
Support the customer by debugging existing solutions in collaboration with Product Support and/or Product Management
Document your work
-
Produce software documentation necessary for the application.
Requirements:
Education/Experience
-
Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in computer science (or similar), or relevant work experience.
-
Up to 2 years of experience or equivalent knowledge in a software engineering role.
Mandatory Technical Skills
-
Knowledge of Object-Oriented programming
-
Knowledge of coding design patterns and architectural best practices
-
Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
-
Knowledge of server and client-side testing frameworks. Examples include NUnit, Moq, Jasmine
Ideal Technical Skills
-
Microsoft Technology Stack: C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET, SQL Server
-
Multiple DBs: SQL, T-SQL, NoSQL
-
Javascript Frameworks: Bootstrap, JQuery, Angular a plus but will consider others
-
Source Control: VSTS, Git
-
Knowledge of containerization technologies is a plus
-
Knowledge of OpenId and related authentication protocols is a plus
-
Understanding of DevOps and cloud-based build and deployment technologies such as Azure is a plus.
Ideal Business and Process Skills
-
Experience with Agile, Kanban, or Scrum.
-
SAFe experience with certification(s) is a plus
