Associate, Strats

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC seeks to fill the position of Associate, Strats in New York, NY.

Develop new pricing and forecast models and maintain and improve existing models. Price incoming trades such as tolls and revenue options. Perform data analysis pertaining to power and gas historical settles. Work with traders and originators on deal pricing and risk management. Work with controllers and the model risk groups on model documentation and approval.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $200000 and $200000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Master's degree in Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field plus one (1) year of experience in the position offered or one (1) year of experience as a Data Analyst, or a related occupation. Requires One (1) year of experience with: Backtesting trading strategies to evaluate its effectiveness; Working with quants and trading teams in day to day operation, research and infrastructure projects; Statistics and Data Analysis; Analyzing large data sets; Production-level coding in SQL and designing efficient database procedures; Scheduler and automatic jobs; Codebase management and version control; and production-level coding in Python.
