Our ideal candidate is an experienced backend engineer who is passionate about building robust and scalable backend systems. We are looking for someone who is always ahead in understanding new technologies and how to apply them practically. Headquartered in Jerusalem, with a branch in Bnei Brak, we work on a hybrid schedule with all employees required to come into the Jerusalem office one day a week on Wednesdays.

Responsibilities:

* Design, develop, and maintain backend services and systems.

* Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

* Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.

* Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.

* Optimize backend processes to ensure system efficiency and reliability.

* Maintain and manage databases, ensuring data integrity and security.

* Implement best practices for security and data protection.

Qualifications:

* 3+ years experience as a backend engineer with software architecture experience.

* Degree in software engineering/computer science preferred.

* English at a high level is required

* Ability to work 3 days a week from the office (Jerusalem ideal, or Bnei Brak)

* Proficient in modern backend programming languages such as Python, Node.js, JavaScript (TypeScript is a plus).

* Strong experience working with databases, specifically column-based databases (Clickhouse a huge plus).

* Experience working with a cloud provider (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure) a plus.

* Experience working with 3rd party APIs.

* Fast learner of new tech, excellent problem solver, and time management skills.

* Independent and knows how to manage workflows.

* Strong disposition towards collaboration and communication.

* Analytical and skilled at deductive reasoning.

* Intellectually curious and willing to voice opinions and support them.
