About the Role

Our client, an online travel booking platform is seeking a mid-level to expert backend developer to integrate various travel APIs and a payment gateway into the platform.

Responsibilities:

1. Integrate popular travel APIs such as Sabre, Amadeus, and HotelBeds into the online travel booking platform.
2. Implement a secure and reliable payment gateway for processing customer transactions.
3. Develop the platform's user interface and ensure a smooth and intuitive user experience.
4. Optimize the platform for performance, scalability, and responsiveness across various devices and screen sizes.
5. Implement appropriate security measures to protect user data and transactions.
6. Collaborate with the project team to understand requirements and ensure timely delivery.

Requirements

• Mid-level to expert proficiency in web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks/libraries
• Solid understanding of server-side programming languages and database management systems
• Extensive experience in integrating third-party APIs, particularly travel-related APIs like Sabre, Amadeus, and HotelBeds.
• Familiarity with payment gateway integration and secure online transaction processing.

Companies need to hire freelancers such as animators, graphic designers, and software developers but are dissatisfied with existing freelance marketplaces. Existing platforms do not scale beyond hiring a handful of freelancers, they do not help with diversity, and are generally a poor experience for both the client and the freelancer.
