Backend Developer

As a Backend Developer, work within an agile environment to develop and refine user stories based upon the approved scope of the project, with the goal to make an impact across the federal government.

What you’ll do: 

• Assist in development of design documentation based on user stories.
• Program software changes based on user stories.
• Execute software testing as defined within user stories.
• Work with a team to replace all Struts MVC Framework within the Marine Online Family of Services with an up to date, industry standard User Interface framework.
• Develop and refine user stories based upon the approved scope of the project.

What you’ll need to succeed: 

• 3+ years web/application development experience with strong proven understanding of Java/Spring MVC, Spring Core, Spring Data.
• 3+ years development experience of building and supporting server-side components using RESTful services.
• 3+ years development experience of building and supporting backend Oracle-based SQL.
• An Active Secret Security Clearance.
