Backend Software Development Engineer

We're looking for a Backend Software Development Engineer to join our DVT team in, Cairo, Egypt.

Responsibilities:

• Working on Questa Verification IQ (QVIQ), the Siemens next generation web-based collaborative verification management product recently launched.
• Ensuring scalability and highly availability as Customer designs grow in complexity.
• Working on a Performance critical application that leverages various grid systems and different CI tools to help our customers overcome their challenges.
• Working on a development stack that uses Java Spring with Hibernate to interface with various SQL databases and Angular, CSS, HTML, and bootstrap for the front-end.

Required skills, knowledge, and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or computer science.
• 3+ years of proven experience in software design and architecture is required.
• Experience with software engineering best practices (testing, reviews and design documentation).
• Extensive knowledge of JAVA and OOP, with development on UNIX/LINUX platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong skills in Algorithms and Data structures.
• Strong ability to learn, explore and innovate with complex technologies.
• Very good knowledge of Client/Server architectures.
• Experience in Web Services (In particular RESTful Web Services).
• Experience with SQL/noSQL databases.
• Mastering English language, both written and spoken.
• Experience in HDL languages like VHDL and Verilog is a plus!
• Previous experience with Hibernate/JPA is a plus!
