Basic Qualifications:

• High School Education or GED equivalency.
• 1 year manufacturing experience.
• Intermediate understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation.
• Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools and measuring devices (verniers, micrometers, calipers, etc.)
• Basic understanding of mathematical principles (conversions to decimal system, geometry, basic math, etc).

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Operates vertical and horizontal balancers, bridgeports, and drill presses.
• Must be able within a reasonable time, produce & verify that piece parts are acceptable and produced within print & specifications.
• Participates in and support team initiatives.
• Compliantly complete all written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation.
• Communicates with team to ensure all team members are aware of new processes and/or ideas, etc.
• Inspection stamp certification.
• Required to verify and change tools when necessary.
• Report problems to Group Leader and/or Coach.
• Keep all shift operators informed on special problems involving operation or set up.
• May assist with proto-type or first-time builds.
• Performs daily machine preventative maintenance and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products.
• Utilizes proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures per position requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Desired Characteristics:

• Prior experience working with Drills, Mills, and/or Alternators.
• Experience in a self-directed teaming environment.
• 1-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with 5S & lean manufacturing knowledge.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to continuously use hands and fingers in repetition.
• Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, twist, crouch, squat, climb, and/or balance.
• Ability to continuously sit; ability to occasionally lift to 20 lbs.; ability to push/pull up to 22 lbs.

This position is in the FAA Drug & Alcohol pool.

The pay for this position is $19/hr. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close 11/16/24.
