SCHEDULE: Part-Time
FACILITY: Navajo County Jail
LOCATION: Holbrook, AZ

POSITION SUMMARY
The Behavioral Health Technician is a part of the multi-disciplinary treatment team and works directly with offender patients, providing therapeutic services within substance use disorder treatment programs and units. The BHT plans and conducts a variety of specifically assigned therapeutic activities, assessments, and interventions. The BHT takes responsibility for 12-Step Facilitation Therapy, supports aftercare planning, and performs administrative functions for the program as well. Provides patient supervision and leadership of activities appropriate to the program involved. Activities are correlated with patient needs, are based on treatment plans and are designed to help achieve self-adjustment and clinical stabilization.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
JOB REQUIREMENTS
LICENSING: None Required
CERTIFICATION: Current CPR certification.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of the principles and practices of therapeutic activity programs; have ability to plan, organize, direct, and participate in recreation/leisure activities; and have ability to prepare, set-up and maintain equipment related to therapeutic activities.
