What is the opportunity?
The primary purpose of this position is to design, implement, and maintain medium to high complexity end-user efficiency solutions. This role will assist in business requirements for remediation and projects and will partner with Operation's resources to assess and design new processes or process modifications to increase department efficiency, reduce risk, or enrich service.
What will you do?
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for end-user efficiency solutions.
- Perform ongoing production support and maintenance updates for established end-user efficiency solutions.
- Execute daily oversight activities to validate system processes are executing as designed.
- Analyze and resolve escalated problems while ensuring adherence to all regulatory and firm policy requirements.
- Consult with RBC IT and vendor resources to research and resolve both system and user-generated exceptions.
- Participate in Operations, firm, and/or industry initiatives providing process design, expert product knowledge, technical expertise, and problem solving unique to one or more specialty areas.
- Participate in business requirement development, UAT testing, end-user training, and implementation support for enhancements and new firm initiatives for changing technology systems, supporting department processes.
- Develop end-user efficiency solutions of medium to high complexity using different technology methods (Robotics, MS Access Databases, Sequel, VBA Macros, Data Warehouse, etc.).
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 4-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent or High school diploma or equivalent AND 5+ years of securities, banking, technology and/or job specific industry experience
- 3+ years prior securities, banking, technology and/or job specific related industry experience
- 2+ years demonstrated project team coordination and/or coaching/mentoring leadership experience
- Series 99 or ability to obtain in 120 days
Nice-to-have
- 3+ years business process redesign, robotics & AI, VBA development, MS Access development, analysis and/or risk control experience
- 4-year degree from an accredited university in business, finance, or related field
