Description
Role Summary:
inKind's Business Development Manager (BDM) will be tasked with opening and developing new markets for inKind. Whether this is moving the company into new cities, new countries, or new verticals, our BDMs are largely responsible for new revenue generation. BDMs have possibly the deepest level of understanding when it comes to how the inKind model operates. They then leverage this understanding to find new opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Learn the inKind model and build out strategies to bring our model to market
  • Build a local team in new markets to support the expansion of inKind
  • Source, qualify, and close new inKind restaurant partners to meet or exceed monthly sales quotas
  • Maintain a consistent level of activity in order to keep a full pipeline including reviewing old leads and lost opportunities for potential re-engagement
  • Act as a trusted partner and subject matter expert to prospects and customers
  • Work closely with the Onboarding Team to ensure smooth launches for new restaurant partners
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing and demand generation in order to continuously refine our acquisition approach
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential partners in order to secure future leads and referrals
  • Accurately track and update deals and communications in Salesforce in real time


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Bilingual: Fluent in English, in addition to any of the following: Spanish, French, Japanese, Mandarin, Taiwanese, or Arabic
  • International business experience, preferably in a sales capacity
  • Valid passport & ability to travel internationally
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a quota exceeding Sales role
  • Minimum annual sales volume over $10 Million in previous role
  • Understanding of financial models and how to build manipulate them
  • Experience managing a team of sales professionals
  • Experience working with and influencing C-level executives
  • Experience working with multi-state or multinational companies
  • A hunter mentality with solid Sales and Business acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships quickly
  • Extensive customer network
  • Experience in establishing new markets, expanding territories, and increasing market penetration


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in a quota exceeding Sales role, preferably in Hospitality, FinTech, or SaaS
  • Experience working with restaurants or food-related entities/clients
  • Experience in a start-up environment is a plus


Work Environment:

  • The candidate in this position will frequently travel to inKind partner restaurant/hospitality and potential restaurant/hospitality locations, and be exposed to conditions typical of restaurants, bars, nightclubs, hotels, etc.
  • This job requires extended travel, possibly internationally
  • This position is primarily in office in Austin, TX when not in market

Salary :

  • $130,000 - $150,000 base DOE (+up to $80,000 additional annual commission potential)
