Job Description

The Business Developer in the Value Advisory Services team uses an outcomes-based management consulting sales approach including focusing client improvement strategies, analyzing and quantifying client business problems and return on investment, developing innovative client partnerships to deliver clinical, operational, and financial outcomes, and coordinating engagement proposals, sales agreements, and the use of creative business models.

The Business Developer will conduct market research to understand the competitive environment and business opportunities. You will develop and contribute to market strategies, develop business cases, and create financial plans to enter new markets or bring to market innovative transformative management consulting offerings. You will develop pricing and packaging proposals, sales channel approaches, and marketing plans. The Business Developer will partner with client relationship owners, knowledge leads, and sales teams to generate and close sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

The Business Developer qualifications include:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least 5 years of general business, health care or other IT related business work experience
  • At least 3 years of health care information technology (HCIT) project management, sales or consulting work experience
Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration
  • At least 1 year of team lead or management experience
  • At least 3 years of selling integrated healthcare or technology solutions and business development work experience
  • At least 1 year of experience working with long sales cycles (1+ years)
  • Experience selling at high levels in the healthcare market (CEO, COO, CFO level)
