Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in Management Consulting or product management and Strategy or Analytics function in a technology company.
  • Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple cross-functional programs or projects.
  • Experience in setting or executing pricing strategy.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience working in product/sales organizations, including product, solutions business and commercialization.
  • Experience with value pricing and engaged pricing in the Cloud/IT technology space.
  • Understanding of the business value drivers of Cloud/IT infrastructure products.

    Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google's functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

    Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

    The Business Planning and Commercialization team owns Strategic Packaging and Pricing for all of Google Cloud, including GCP, Google Workspace, AI/ML and industry-specific solutions.

    In this role, you will ensure optimal business for all new and existing products and solutions. You will be driving innovation in Packaging/Bundling, Pricing architectures, Policies, Programs and contractual structures. Also, you will ensure the implementation of business innovation from design to implementation and commercialization.
    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $139,000-$207,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with Google Cloud's leadership across functions to prioritize and define innovative packaging and pricing architecture for core cloud infrastructure.
    • Create business principles, frameworks, and policies at scale.Ensure on-going refinement of pricing framework, policies, and strategies based on quantitative performance assessments, market changes as well as customer and sales feedback.
    • Develop and leverage customer insights to inform business strategies. Drive recommendations for commercialization and cross-cloud AI initiatives.
    • Establish pricing policies and structures across customer segments and channel structures.
    • Leverage policies and structures to ensure business and customer retention of products and solutions and use them as a strategic lever to differentiate Google Cloud and drive market disruption.
