Our company is hiring a Finish Carpenter to work on carpentry and construction details. Carpenter responsibilities include making precise cuts and constructing trim, doors, molding and other details. As a finish carpenter, you should have a love for craftsmanship, high quality standards and be detail-oriented. You will use technology to help you measure wood, cut pieces and make joints. Since you will be working with wood, paint finishing skills are also essential. You should be physically fit due to the physical nature of the job. The goal is to create complex wood elements using levels of skill, craftsmanship and artistic ability. Summary As a Finish Carpenter, you will be responsible for executing high-quality carpentry work that enhances the aesthetic and functional aspects of construction projects. Reporting to the Lead Carpenter or Project Manager, you will utilize your core skills in hand and power tools to complete tasks such as trim and frame carpentry. Your premium skills in construction estimating will aid in project planning, while your relevant skills in blueprint reading and woodworking will ensure precision and craftsmanship. Responsibilities • Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials according to specifications. • Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, and trim. • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate construction. • Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively. • Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time. • Conduct quality checks to ensure work meets industry standards. Qualifications • Proficient in using hand and power tools for carpentry tasks • Strong background in construction and carpentry techniques • Experience in trim and frame carpentry • Ability to read blueprints and construction plans • Knowledge of construction estimating and site management • Familiarity with woodworking, plastering, and concrete forming • Experience in water damage restoration and roofing projects Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: • Paid time off Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday • No weekends Experience: • Trim carpentry: 5 years (Required) Ability to Commute: • Palo Alto, CA (Required) Work Location: On the road
