Aramark is currently seeking a Catering Sales & Operations Manager to support the Cleveland Zoo. The Catering Manager oversees catering food & beverage sales and operations to execute special events in line with client expectations.

Job Responsibilities
- Oversee entire special events food & beverage sales process through event execution
- Respond to customer inquiries, develop proposals and contracts, maximize revenue through upselling and offering enhancements to exceed client expectations
- Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport, providing creative solutions to clients' needs, managing event detailing, tours, tastings, contracts, payments, and event operations
- Create, manage, and communicate banquet event orders, connect with vendors, and deliver consistent quality in planning and carrying out events
- Collaborate with culinary and operations departments on menu development, event detailing, and event execution
- Oversee catering event operations to ensure all client's needs and expectations are met
- Recruit, schedule, train, and develop employees to ensure standards are followed ensuring quality in final presentation and service
- Ensure accurate reporting of all catering related revenue, expenses, and receivables, deliver sales, food, and labor targets and maintaining department budgets
- Ensure compliance with all food, occupational and environmental safety policies

Qualifications
- Bachelor?s degree preferred or at least 3 years of related experience required
- Previous experience in a supervisor or manager level role in special events, hospitality, or catering required
- Ability to maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships required
- Must have excellent interpersonal communication, client relations, and ideally sales skills
- Must be comfortable working in a collaborative team dynamic
- Complete Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
- Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. and ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Must have availability to work operations, event-based hours, including evening, weekend, and potentially holiday hours
