The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service. Duties • Operate tractor-trailer units to transport freight to designated locations. • Execute route driving efficiently, adhering to scheduled delivery times. • Handle flatbed loads and ensure proper securing of cargo. • Manage refrigerated trailers, maintaining appropriate temperature controls during transport. • Utilize manual transmission when required for specific vehicles. • Load and unload freight using forklifts or other equipment as necessary. • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and cargo delivered. • Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays encountered on the road. Requirements • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. • Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailer units. • Familiarity with route driving and ability to navigate efficiently. • Experience operating flatbed trucks is preferred but not mandatory. • Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operations is a plus. • Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles as needed. • Experience with forklifts and loading/unloading procedures is advantageous. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
