The Central Planning team is the Business Operations function that leads capacity planning for core resources needed to build and operate the Cruise business at the rate that we aspire to deliver. Core areas of focus include fleet planning, infrastructure, people capacity planning, while managing the interface between Commercial Ops and Engineering roadmaps. As we accelerate our commercialization, this team will play a crucial role to ensure we know what resources weâll need, where they should be allocated, and how weâll acquire/develop them in the most cost-effective manner. This teamâs output will be a key driver for teams across Cruise to ensure we are ready to scale in both new and existing markets. Â
We are looking for a talented individual to lead projects tied to our fleet, infrastructure, staffing, and commercial expansion for Cruise. This is an incredible opportunity to focus on the most crucial assets required for Cruise to achieve its global business ambitions. We are seeking someone who is fluent analytically, can build long-term roadmaps from ambiguity, nurture productive cross-functional relationships, develop and manage organization-wide processes, and convincingly communicate to Cruisers and external partners. What youâll be doing:
Make recommendations to senior leadership about how Cruise should allocate resources to deliver on strategic company objectives
Driving business planning across infrastructure, ridehail, delivery, and product teams to deliver against Cruiseâs commercial goals
Support Cruise in managing our growing operational staffing needs across geographies as we grow our commercial footprint
Make sure we have the right combination of assets and capabilities, while balancing the long-lead times needed for acquiring vehicles and infrastructure with the agility of a fast-moving start-up.
Enable Cruise teams to make better decisions faster, and anticipate future challenges in ways that allow for proactive management.
Be an influential thought partner to commercial executives and business leaders across the company.
What you must have:
4+ years in finance, program management, strategy, business/product operations, or management consulting
Analytical experience developing new models that can flexibly incorporate inputs from multiple sources
Demonstrated people and cross-functional skills
Strong written and verbal communication; ability to synthesize, articulate, and deliver key messages to senior leadershipÂ
Comfort with ambiguity: apply structured, analytical thinking to new, undefined problems
Strategic and creative thinking skills that combine technical, financial, and market understanding
Ability to take ownership of work and make progress without frequent supervision
Strong teammate that collaborates with peers to both get and give help towards better outcomes
Excellent business intuition and ânose for valueâ
Nice to have:
MBA or similar graduate degree
The salary range for this position is $125,900 - 185,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
