What you'll do
The Chief of Staff (COS) is an extension of the CEO and have an incredible professional opportunity to be an integral part of executing strategy for a company that is disrupting a $1.4 trillion dollar industry.
Key responsibilities include: 1) managing key initiatives, company KPIs, and milestones for the business, 2) recording and organizing takeaways and action items from leadership meetings, and 3) driving company key initiatives.
The COS is one-part strategic project manager, one-part master communicator, one-part relentless follow-through, and one-part executive in training. The COS must be the voice of the CEO and understand every component of the business.
Responsibilities:
  • Partner closely with department heads and key initiative owners to organize important steps to complete initiatives and milestones, gauge progress of milestones, identify potential blockers, organize cross-functional collaboration and communication (unblock blockers), and "check and verify" progress of milestones.
  • Monitor progress, strategy and execution for departmental L10s and communicate to CEO any issues due to misalignment, confidence in completing or delayed schedule.
  • Ensure leadership team weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual leadership team meetings are executed successfully, including scheduling and communicating to attendees for proper preparations. Ensure the CEO is prepared for leadership team meetings. Ensure results and cascading messages of these meetings are communicated to the team.
  • Be the voice of the CEO in department and update meetings as necessary when CEO is not present. Take high-level direction from the CEO and interpret for the team when necessary.
  • Organize quarterly Town Hall and Key Initiative communication from the CEO, facilitate gathering Q&A from the team.
  • Support in organization of sensitive documents such as board presentations, legal documents, investor communication and job performance results.
  • Manage discrete and sensitive information confidential, both internally and externally, with the highest integrity.
  • Be the persistent follow through when commitments are made from the CEO to the team, and vice versa, when commitments are made to the CEO by managers.
  • From time to time, screen and interview candidates on behalf of the CEO.
  • From time to time, work with Executive Assistant to manage CEO calendar and priorities.
  • From time to time, attend internal and external events in CEO absence.
  • From time to time, fill in as an additional resource when needed to help drive a key initiative to the finish line.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of professional experience
  • Ability to wear multiple hats and own multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
  • Keen interest in all aspects of business
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to manage highly confidential information with discretion and due diligence
  • Prior Chief of Staff experience not required
