OTHER ESSENTIAL INFORMATION:
- Selectee will be required to participate in Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer as the Standard method of payment for payroll and travel purposes.
- Males born after 12/31/59 and at least 18 years of age must be registered with the Selective Service System, unless covered by an exemption under the Selective Service Law, in accordance with 5 U.S. Code 3378. Selectee will be required to provide a written statement regarding his registration status unless he is exempted by this statute.
- Must satisfactorily complete a Federal Background check.
Qualifications
- Two-year degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development or related field of study, which can include Youth Recreation, Physical Education, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Youth Development, Psychology, Social Work, Home Economics with an emphasis in Human Development, or other degrees as appropriate and two years of experience.
- Ability to satisfactorily complete background investigation - National Agency Check with Written Inquires (NACI), upon hiring and renew every 5 years.
- Possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, walk, bend, stoop and stand on a routine basis. Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors.
- A BA/BS degree in child development, early childhood education, home economics (early childhood emphasis), elementary education, special education, or other degree appropriate to the position from an accredited college or Associate of Arts (AA) degree and at least 2 years' experience in childcare or preschool environment.
