About the Role
Are you passionate about leading operational excellence in an entrepreneurial and dynamic work environment? Are you yearning for an opportunity to utilize your creativity to grow a scaling process? We are looking for a Claims Specialist to join us on our journey to facilitate a digital revolution in the B2B supply chain. We are a culture-first organization that works relentlessly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
β Interacts professionally and timely with clients via email, phone, and in-person
β Maintains a proactive approach focusing on claim resolutions and strategies
β Advocates for timely resolution of claim matters for our clients
β Communicates pertinent claim information to internal and external clients.
β Establishes professional relationships with third party service providers including brokers, insurers, and vendors
β Assists on claims projects, reports, loss runs, etc.
β Prepares and files insurance claim forms or related documents and reviews them for completeness
β Performs administrative duties such as typing memos, reports, compiling emails, scanning documents, and collecting data.
β Compiles documentation related to HSE incidents and maintains files and folders in the incident database.
β Utilizes negotiation skills to develop settlement strategies.
β Interprets complex or unusual policy language to determine if coverages apply to specific claims, escalating issues as needed.
β Participates in tasks of a highly sensitive and complex nature.
β Assists with metrics for operational processing and creates strategic/tactical strategies supporting continuous improvement.
β Other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
β Proven negotiation skills.
β Ability to discuss and solve claim problems with clients and insurance carriers.
β Highly detail-oriented
β Proficiency in Microsoft Office (outlook, excel, word)
β Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency in all projects and an ability to prioritize and re-prioritize as necessary.
β Ability to multi-task projects and required tasks in an organized fashion
β Ability to work in a team environment as well as self-motivated in individual projects
β Ability to communicate both verbally and written to all levels of the organization
Educational/Experience Requirements:
β Associates or Bachelorβs degree preferred
β 3- 5 years related experience and/or training
β 2+ years Captive experience
Compensation: $68-82k
