About the Role

We are looking for a Claims Specialist to join us on our journey to facilitate a digital revolution in the B2B supply chain. We are a culture-first organization that works relentlessly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

● Interacts professionally and timely with clients via email, phone, and in-person

● Maintains a proactive approach focusing on claim resolutions and strategies

● Advocates for timely resolution of claim matters for our clients

● Communicates pertinent claim information to internal and external clients.

● Establishes professional relationships with third party service providers including brokers, insurers, and vendors

● Assists on claims projects, reports, loss runs, etc.

● Prepares and files insurance claim forms or related documents and reviews them for completeness

● Performs administrative duties such as typing memos, reports, compiling emails, scanning documents, and collecting data.

● Compiles documentation related to HSE incidents and maintains files and folders in the incident database.

● Utilizes negotiation skills to develop settlement strategies.

● Interprets complex or unusual policy language to determine if coverages apply to specific claims, escalating issues as needed.

● Participates in tasks of a highly sensitive and complex nature.

● Assists with metrics for operational processing and creates strategic/tactical strategies supporting continuous improvement.

● Other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements

● Proven negotiation skills.

● Ability to discuss and solve claim problems with clients and insurance carriers.

● Highly detail-oriented

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office (outlook, excel, word)

● Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency in all projects and an ability to prioritize and re-prioritize as necessary.

● Ability to multi-task projects and required tasks in an organized fashion

● Ability to work in a team environment as well as self-motivated in individual projects

● Ability to communicate both verbally and written to all levels of the organization

Educational/Experience Requirements:

● Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred

● 3- 5 years related experience and/or training

● 2+ years Captive experience

Compensation: $68-82k
