In alignment with its designation as Oregon’s polytechnic university, Oregon Tech has established allied health clinics in which students are provided practice-based, experiential learning opportunities while meeting healthcare needs of the region. The newly formed Clinical Services department will assist in the operational management of these allied health clinics overseeing the day-to-day functions, such as regulatory compliance, billing, insurance processes, etc. This will allow faculty and programs to focus on student learning, clinical research, and other academic endeavors. While each program maintains responsibility for its academic enterprise (i.e. program admission and curricula, training and assessment of students, competency monitoring) within the Academic Affairs Division, Clinical Services facilitates the clinical enterprise (i.e. clinic operation) within University Health and Wellness. As a new model, the academic and clinical enterprises will work together to develop best practices, provide allied health students with a well-rounded academic experience, and deliver quality care to our community.

Position Summary:

Consistent with Oregon Tech’s polytechnic designation and hands-on mission, University Health and Wellness operates a series of clinics which provide the opportunity for students to hone their skills by working with real-world patients in real-world settings.

The Clinical Manager provides oversight to all Clinical Services staff working in all the clinics, as well as managing clinic functioning. The university plans on expanding the number of clinics in the future; the Clinical Manager would oversee any additional clinics that are launched, as well.

The Clinical Manager is responsible for personnel management, facilitating day-to-day operations, serving as a liaison to academic faculty, and nurturing relationships with stakeholders. This position reports to the Executive Director of University Health and Wellness.

Minimum Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Public Health, Higher Education or related field
• At least 3 years experience working in a management or supervisory role within a clinical setting (either medical or behavioral health).
• A successful candidate must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to creatively solve problems.
• Demonstrated leadership skills are required as is flexibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prefer 5 years experience working in a management or supervisory role within a clinical setting (either medical or behavioral health).
• Experience with policy/procedure development and strategic planning
• Candidates with initiative and a willingness to function independently are preferred.
