Job Description

U.S. Got People is searching for a Clinical Psychologist to work Full-Time within the Mental Health Department at MacDill AFB, working directly with our active duty service members.

Qualifications of Clinical Psychologist
  • Degree/Education (5.2.4): Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor ofPsychology (PsyD). Graduate from an American Psychology Associationaccredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support (5.2.3): None
  • Experience: Have a minimum of one year experience as a licensed clinical

psychologist and required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in the Service-specific credentialing instruction, DHA-PM 6025.13, Volume 4.

Minimum intermediate knowledge of computer systems and ability to work proficiently with word processing, data management and spreadsheet data analysis.

  • Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin DEA Registration is required.
Job duties for Clinical Psychologist may include but are not limited to:
  • Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF
  • Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as
  • Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of

  • Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or
  • Assist in rehabilitation of patients, Individual, family and group psychotherapy, and couples therapy, alcohol and drug treatment
  • Attend and participate in meetings as a non-voting member during normal duty hours and professional staff conferences and other appropriate professional

activities such as, but not limited to the following: Quality Improvement meeting, professional staff meetings, Commander's staff meetings, Mental Health Flight meetings, and others required by applicable regulations, MTF guidance, or as directed by the Mental Health Flight Commander or his/her designated

representative.

  • Attend trainings for command directed
  • Clinical/Counseling Responsible for and applies psychological procedures and techniques, including interviewing, behavioral assessment,

evidence based therapies, and psychological testing/psychodiagnostics testing, in the evaluation, diagnosis American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and

Statistical Manual of Disorders., and treatment of psychological and neuropsychological disorders.

  • Consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders and school districts, as required.
  • Maintain accurate and current notes in both the Mental Health records and inpatient medical records of all patients seen, as appropriate, and produces reports of evaluation and/or treatment, as
