Job Description
The CMM Programmer role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and precision machining. Candidates should have experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards along with the ability to interpret manufacturing drawings. Cyient programs are directly affiliated with Pratt & Whitney sites located in East Hartford & Middletown, CT, and North Berwick, Maine. The Cyient programs also support United Technologies Aerospace Systems and Sikorsky, (Lockheed Martin).
Programmer responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Create and modify programs for major rotating aerospace parts.
- Read and interpret layouts, job instructions, engine manuals, technical orders, and blue prints for parts in the manufacturing process.
- Optimize machine run-times to ensure daily goals and production targets are met.
- Understand tooling specifications and requirements; including fixtures / attachments for CMM Equipment.
- Touch-off tools and make offsets. Troubleshoot effectively and efficiently with minimal guidance from Team Lead (to prevent machine downtime).
Interact with customers, and strive to attain high customer satisfaction levels.
