Position Summary Range Roofing is hiring a Lead Service Technician to take point on commercial low-slope roof inspections, repairs, and maintenance across the U.S. This role is based in Lewisville, TX, and involves extensive nationwide travel to support our national client base. As a Lead Tech, you’ll diagnose leaks, oversee field work, train your Assistant Technician, and serve as the front line of communication with our clients and Service Coordinator. You’ll be working on various systems, including TPO, PVC, Mod-Bit, EPDM, BUR, and metal, and you’ll be expected to deliver high-quality work with professionalism, efficiency, and safety at the core. Key Responsibilities • Own the Roof:Perform thorough inspections of commercial low-slope systems (TPO, PVC, Mod-Bit, EPDM, BUR, metal, etc.) to diagnose issues, prevent failures, and protect the client’s investment. • Lead Field Execution:Complete service work, leak repairs, tenant improvements, and small projects with speed, quality, and safety — while guiding your assistant to do the same. • Troubleshoot with Confidence:Resolve complex leaks, drainage issues, and weather-related damage. You're the first call when things go sideways, and you show up ready. • Document Everything:Use our service software to capture detailed photos, notes, and recommendations that give clients and the office team confidence in your work. • Spot the Next Job:Identify and communicate additional service opportunities on every roof you touch — helping the client and growing your truck’s revenue. • Communicate Like a Pro:Provide clear updates, accurate documentation, and proactive scheduling feedback to keep the client, Service Coordinator, and Service Manager informed. • Train the Next Lead:Develop your Assistant Technician into someone who could one day lead one of their own. • Maintain Safety:Ensure compliance with all Range Roofing safety standards and OSHA regulations. • Run a Tight Ship:Keep your truck stocked, organized, and presentable. Required Qualifications Experience: • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial roofing maintenance and repair Skills: • Proficiency in repairing commercial roofing systems (TPO, PVC, Mod-Bid, EPDM, BUR, metal roofing, etc.) • Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and ability to work at heights • Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot issues in the field Licenses and Certifications: • Valid driver’s license with an insurable record Travel Requirements: • 75% required travel Physical Requirements: • Mobility & Endurance:Ability to stand, walk, and move between job sites for extended periods, including navigating uneven surfaces and rooftops. • Climbing & Lifting:Comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders up to 40 feet, and lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs as needed. • Physical Dexterity:Frequent bending, kneeling, and handling tools, equipment, and technology with precision. Capable of bending over most of the day and working on knees excessively throughout the day. • Outdoor Work Conditions:Must tolerate various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wind, and rain. • Driving & Communication:Ability to travel between job sites and effectively communicate in noisy construction environments. Desired Qualifications - Not Required • High School Diploma or GED • Low-slope manufacturer certifications • OSHA 10 or 30 certification • Heavy equipment certification (boom lift, telehandler, forklift) Desired Skills and Attributes • Experience with Centerpoint Connect or FCS Roofing Software • Proficient writing skills for conveying detailed and relevant information clearly and professionally to clients • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Ability to provide thorough documentation for service orders and project reports • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Work Environment, Location, and Schedule • This position is based inLewisville, TX,but requires nationwide travel to client sites for service and repair projects.
