EVALUATIONS:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field appropriate to the work of position AND three years of experience that demonstrates the ability to conduct business development activities, execute major events, and negotiate terms of a contract, OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above, OR appropriate experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above. Must have comprehensive knowledge of marketing theory, research principles, consumer behavior, personal selling success, advertising and related marketing principles and techniques. Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral to solicit commercial sponsorship and negotiate contracts and to write after action reports. Ability to interpret DoD and USMC policies concerning sponsorship agreements and contracts.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and priorities, establish goals and develop plans to meet those goals. Must be proficient with Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Must be articulate, have excellent visual communication skills, and be able to persuade and influence without direct authority.
