About the Role

We are looking for a self-motivated strong team player, who can lead Diageo Korea' media relations, manage and locally execute Diageo's society programs, and support the employer branding. The role will require you to be highly organized, able to work under tight deadlines with keen attention to details. The Communications Manager will work directly with key stakeholders including media and supervise pr agency partners and will report directly to Corporate Relations Director of Diageo Korea while working closely with regional Communication manager and local other functions (Marketing, Sales, and HR).

About the Role

Communication
  • Develop and lead Diageo Korea's communications strategy and plans
  • Lead the day-to-day interface with marketing function to bring greater cohesion, consistency and creativity to our story, enabling our corporate and consumer brands to deliver engaging content reinforcing of each other in the digital world.
  • Lead an effective day-to-day interface with the other CR global centre of excellence (COE) teams, and other cross-functional, above and in-market teams, building trusted partnerships for the development and execution of compelling content and campaigns to drive Diageo and external media relations.
  • Coordinate an effective partnership with other functions (HR) to co-create and brilliantly execute the campaigns and measurement required to drive our employer brand forward in support of our strategy
  • Monitor the latest trends in media, content, digital marketing communications and engagement
  • Lead leadership and employee communications internally via various internal channels

Society Programs
  • Act as primary point of contact for all aspects of the Diageo in Society Agenda (including policies, programmes and tools to promote positive drinking and I&D agenda)
  • Lead our Society 2030 programs, showcasing Diageo Korea as a leader in all core areas
  • Achieve Positive Drinking/DRINKiQ targets in given time frame and develop Smashed local implementation plan


Experience required/Skills/Capabilities/Languages
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Fluent in English and Korean
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in public relations, PR agency
  • PR agency experience highly preferred
  • An international perspective gained from working in a complex, multinational, matrixed organisation and therefore used to dealing skillfully with a diverse range of cultures and personalities
  • International travel occasionally required
