Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Develop and organize customer data packages and Bill of Materials for all corporate quotation projects in preparation to quote internally or externally with the supply base.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Download data package and BOM from FTP site or specified server.
• Review and understand scope of work for each data package and communicate with regional and sector quote teams.
• Open various types of drawings (ProE, Autocad, Solidworks, etc) and organize them according to mechanical manufacturing process.
• Must understand various types of mechanical manufacturing processes by looking at a drawing or sample for metal, plastic, electrical components and electro-mechanical commodities.
• Ability to level and structure customers Bill of Material if needed.
• Maintains record of line items conditioned and publishes this on a weekly basis.
• Adheres to conditioning time line and consistently drives accuracy for every quote package.
• Understand AML requirements needed for quoting.
• Works closely with regional and sector quote teams for each Request For Quote globally.
• Attends quote kick-off meetings for quotes as required.
• Maintains knowledge of quote process and utilizes this knowledge while conditioning/organizing the BOM and data package.
• Reviews data package with regional and sector teams upon completion of conditioning process.
• Performs other special projects as assigned.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
• Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages.
• Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
