Job Description
Pip Decks is in search of a fantastic writer/editor to join the existing writer on the Content team. Youâll be joining us to produce, edit and proofread:
- New Pip Decks!
- Instructional video scripts
- Blogs and guides
- Alt text
- ⌠and much more!
This is not a marketing copywriting role (although marketing writers are welcome! Thatâs just not what this roleâs work will focus on).
At Pip Decks, the power of the written word is never under-estimated. Your curiosity, communication skills and meticulous attention to detail will play a pivotal role in ensuring the wisdom of our decks reaches everyone who could benefit from it. With over 100,000 customers (and many more fans), your words will have a huge impact.
Just like everyone else at Pip Decks, youâll be able to put forward new ideas and bring them to life, too. If you love variety and a good challenge, youâll thrive here.
This role will suit an established writer who has experience creating content that explains concepts. Youâll need to interpret the problems our decks solve and explain them in writing in a variety of different formats. Many of our customers speak English as a second, third or fourth language, so simplicity is key (although we add a bit of flair when possible!).
If this role and the culture described below resonates with your career goals, weâd love to hear from you.
đ° The details

- Proactivity: take full ownership of your goals and tasks.
- Short toes: proactively identify areas of improvement, with no worry about overstepping.

- Use the knowledge of the decks you acquire to inform our marketing team of new angles and insights to highlight in ads and other materials.
- Proof all of the above when the materials have been created by others on the team.
- Ensure consistency in our brand voice, style and messaging and keep our style guide up to date.
- Apply new tech (such as AI) to streamline working practices and increase our capacity to produce materials that support our customers.
