About the Position
Are you an experienced accounting professional looking for a contract role with a great team? We are looking for a candidate who will be responsible for the general accounting operations of the company. This includes the production of monthly financial statements and management of all accounting processes, systems, records, and controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results. The role will start on September 3rd, 2024 and last 6-8 months. It will be 30-40 hours per week.
This role reports to our AVP, Finance and is offered as a remote opportunity for a 1099 contractor.

Responsibilities and Expectations
Essential Duties

• Lead and drive the month, quarterly and annual financial close process, including financial statement preparation and reporting
• Responsible for general ledger maintenance and account reconciliation and control
• Effectively communicate with project managers, peers and other staff
• Ad hoc management reporting and analysis-(project reporting or financial reporting)
• Assist with Finance related projects and act as a backup to other members of the Finance team
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• 5 years of directly relevant experience, ideally in a professional services setting
• Strong general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and banking knowledge
• Ability to work across all levels of the organization with a “customer service” orientation
• Experience with robust accounting or ERP software packages; Sage Intacct preferred but not required
• Impactful and engaging presentation style
• Self-motivated problem-solver, adaptable, and eager to learn new skills
• Demonstrated capacity to positively and professionally interact with, and develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of an organization and companies that reflect a broad range of experiences and perspectives
• Well-organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and create streamlined workflow structures and processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments
• Must be friendly, professional, and helpful to internal and external clients and visitors
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Follow-through and responsiveness are a must
• Excellent computer knowledge/skills including Microsoft Office
• Salesforce and ADP experience a plus

The hourly rate for this role falls within the range $55.00/hr-$75.00/hr
