Seneca Holdings has an immediate opening for a Contracts Analyst to support our Legal and Compliance (CLEC) department. This full-time position requires a self-motivated, flexible candidate who likes a challenge and possesses excellent interpersonal skills. We are looking for a great teammate who is dedicated, detail oriented, and passionate about understanding our culture and business.
The Contracts Analyst will join Seneca’s legal team primarily to support client-facing and internal corporate teams by reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of agreements, including U.S. Government and commercial contracts, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), Teaming Agreements, and Subcontracts. This individual should be comfortable supporting multiple customers and capable of adapting to changing priorities and business needs in a rapid-paced environment. Other responsibilities will include participating in projects and initiatives of the Legal and Compliance (CLEC) department.Â
In this role, this individual will:
- Review and draft a wide variety of contracts including subcontracts, teaming agreements, and non-disclosure agreements with clients, including U.S. government agencies, partner companies and vendors.
- Support entry of contract data and documentation into Seneca’s Contract Database System and maintenance of Seneca’s Contract workload tracker.
- Aid with monitoring and tracking customer requests for contract support.Â
- Assure proper retention of fully executed contract documentation in the contract file.
- Facilitate agreement approval and routing process for agreements with Seneca companies and third parties.
- Identify contract initiation, review, execution, and maintenance process improvements, obtain leadership team approval of changes to process and implement improvements, as needed.
- Manage risk through careful consideration of each client contract’s terms and conditions to prevent accepting unnecessary risk.
- Work cross-functionally with teams at Seneca, including, Business Development, Client Support, Finance, and Operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years post-award contract administration and management experience.
- 1+ years of specialized experience with federal government contract management and administration, as a federal employee or as a federal contractor employee.
- Exercises sound business judgment in ambiguous situations, as well as the ability to identify when counsel should be consulted; be a practical and proactive problem solver.
- Knowledge of complete federal and commercial contract lifecycles, from solicitation to contract closeout.
- Excellent organization and multitasking skills to prioritize multiple competing projects, follow through on required tasks, and ability to meet quick turnaround times.
- Ability to understand general business operations and issues beyond the scope of basic contracting issues.
- Clear communicator with excellent analytical, communication, and listening skills, who excels in a remote work environment.
- Proficiency with technology and familiarity with, or willingness to learn, technical elements of multiple business applications.
- Background check required.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Working knowledge and understanding of software applications, like Microsoft Office Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, System for Award Management (SAM), and other contract management and procurement software.
- Knowledge of the FAR/DFARS and other federal agency supplemental regulations.
- Willingness to learn and curiosity.
- Must demonstrate strong business and organizational skills.
- Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion.
