Job Description
Radiant Industries is an El Segundo, CA-based startup developing Kaleidos, a portable, containerized nuclear microreactor. Portable nuclear power with rapid deploy capability can replace diesel generators used today to provide critical asset support for hospitals, datacenters, and military bases or to power microgrids at remote sites. Radiant’s unique, practical approach to nuclear development utilizes modern software engineering to rapidly achieve safe, factory-constructable microreactors leveraging existing, well-qualified materials. Radiant is on a fast track to demonstrate the first fueled operation of a new commercial nuclear reactor design, just three years from now.
Contracts Business Manager
The Contracts Business Manager will own the full life cycle of contract activities, including market research, proposal generation and submission, documentation support, and awards project management. The ideal candidate has prior success writing winning government proposals and navigating the federal acquisition process. The ideal candidate is excellent at balancing multiple priorities, has a keen eye for detail, and excellent organization abilities for timely and accurate submissions. This is a high impact role to bring in key funding and support to commercialize the first portable nuclear microreactor.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Own life-cycle of contract proposal process from ideation, evaluation, solicitation, proposal, documentation, and overall management of federal acquisition process.
- Leverage expertise in government compliance, including FARS/DFARS, special SBIRs, etc.
- Prepare proposals and responses for federal contracting opportunities, including RFPs, RFIs, CSOs, BAAs, Need Statements, etc.
- Provide executive leadership guidance and expertise in navigating the government contracting process, from narrative strategy, compliance, and due diligence, etc.
- Manage documentation repository for all Radiant contracting efforts; optimize proposal process over time.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of industry experience in government contracting.
- Experience in SBIR programs, including proposal and due diligence management.
- Knowledgeable of FAR/DFAR government contract types.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Expert in managing contracts from conception through implementation.
- Superb negotiation and presentation abilities for highly technical subject matter.
- Passionate about bringing portable nuclear microreactors to microgrids to provide resiliency.
- Highly proactive and collaborative in work, comfortable with strategic oversight of projects to the detailed execution.
- Understands the federal government budgeting and appropriations process.
