Contracts Manager

As the Contracts Manager (based in Johor Bahru), you will report directly to the Senior Contracts Manager and work closely with the rest of the Development team, making your mark in a number of ways:

• You will provide support as a trusted business partner to the delivery teams on commercial and contracts issues across the entire lifecycle of AirTrunk data centre developments
• You will resolve contract interpretation issues and disputes in a creative manner, balancing both parties’ objectives and the long-term implications of changes and solutions
• You will assist with innovations, initiatives and continuous improvements aimed at increasing quality, time, and cost efficiencies of the delivery of AirTrunk data centres

Your Day to Day

• Negotiating and drafting key commercial outcomes in new contracts, variations and contractual correspondence
• Contract lifecycle management including kick-off, monitoring contractor performance and proactively managing contract works delivery through to completion
• Assessing and managing contract claims including variations, time-related claims, payment claims and invoices
• Cost management and forecasting across in-flight projects
• Developing and implementing reporting tools for measurement of key contract metrics
• Travel as required to AirTrunk data centre sites for project initiation, project reviews and audits, constructability reviews, claims management, project close out, as required.

Requirements:

• You have successfully delivered projects in a contracts or commercial role in a complex construction or development environment with a minimum of 8 years work experience in the construction industry
• You have a degree in Engineering, Law, Quantity Surveying or Business/Commerce
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and proactively to problem-solve and bring matters to a close
• Authentic and genuine personality who can build strong relationships with diverse personalities around the world
• Strong influencing skills with a history of demonstrated business partnering to achieve broader business goals is critical to success in this role

Preferred:

• Large multi-disciplinary experience on major infrastructure projects
• Experience with fast track design/build projects
• International experience (ideally APAC) with significant exposure to Contracts +SGD$150m
