Controlling Manager

The purpose

Currently we are looking for a person for the role of Controlling Manager to lead a team responsible for maximizing return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.

In this role you'll be responsible for:

Financial and business performance analysis

  • Coordinate and consolidate the financial reporting of the AAO business unit, in order to provide management with information and recommendations for a proper follow up and decision making, analyzing the evolution of actual results evaluating performance vs budget, prior year or forecast according to the needs set by the senior management of the company.
  • Build and report the official P&Ls of AAO that will be reported internally. Contact point for Investor Relations requests. Works with a high level of autonomy, with some guidance from Senior Manager.
  • Main responsibilities:
    • Provide analysis to understand deviations, risks and help change the course of action.
    • Ad-hoc analysis requested by the management of the company
  • These activities should be carried out in coordination with Corporate Controlling and Airport BU. Fulfilling all their reporting needs in a timely and concise manner.

Planning activities

  • Coordinate and Consolidate the different planning exercises for AAO ensuring compliance with Corporate controlling policies following the procedures and processes defined, to ensure consistency of data within the global reporting of the group.
  • Coordinate the different teams involved in the elaboration of the AAO LTP, Budget and Forecasts (GMOP, CCOP, BPOP,FFC) with the aim of ensuring proper and accurate planning per month and relevant forecasts so actions can be taken as needed.
  • Ensure alignment with Business cases for planning activities.

Internal systems

  • Coordination and alignment with DTS teams to maintain and improve the controlling tools, systems, methods and processes, as well as automation of new reports ensuring efficient and time effective access to data.
  • Reduction of the manual and non value added workload by standardizing and automating the reporting process. Use of department tools, new tools & processes to improve efficiency. Identify and track risks and opportunities. Liaise with the Reporting center of excellence to start looking into automatization of AAO reports in SAC and improve the integration of the different AAO acquisitions (ICM, Vision Box) in the systems.

 

Team management

  • Lead the AAO SFA Planning and Reporting team. Assist, guide and motivate team members in their assigned functions. Manages a team of employees and has accountability for their performance and results. Sets performance objectives, conducts performance reviews and recommends pay actions.
  • Define and follow-up objectives for individuals in line with organizational goals, drive engagement and attract, retain and develop talent.

Others

  • Support Management in the preparation of analysis and data for QBRS and Excom meetings
  • Ensure the quality of the work and the satisfaction of internal customers, with a clear focus on value added assessment more than on purely financial figures

About the ideal candidate

  • University Degree in Economics, Finance or Business Administration. MBA consider a plus
  •  Min. 5 years’ experience as a Controller in a multinational environment and with interaction with Senior Management
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams
  • Basic understanding of the travel industry business
  • Knowledge of SAP & Outlook systems
  • Fluent English. French – nice to have.
  • Very good presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
