Position Summary:

Reporting to the Facilities and Engineering Manager, the Controls System Specialist is responsible for providing technical support to site Electricians, Engineering and Vendors in relation to troubleshooting, programing and upgrades to the sites Control Systems and VFD's.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Project Management.
• Control Systems improvements and upgrades.
• Subject matter expert for Control related issues.
• Support Electrical team to troubleshoot complex electrical, VFD, PLC and system issues.
• Provide technical knowledge to I.T and Capital Engineering for new equipment/upgrades involving the site SCADA system.
• Excellent understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic Systems.
• Previous experience with Allen Bradly and Siemens software systems.
• Knowledge of CMMS and Line management system software.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5+ years of Electrical and Controls System experience as an Electrical Engineer or Controls Technician/Technologist.
• Electrical License recommended.
• Experience in the Food or Pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

• Experience programming Allen Bradley, Siemens and VFD's in relation to Mixers, Extruders and dry/liquid processes.

• Excellent troubleshooting and programming skills.
