Corporate Counsel

Key Responsibilities

• Manage compliance initiatives to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations, including data protection, labor, and employment laws.
• Consult on global labor and employment law matters, providing guidance and support to the Guidewire People Team and management teams.
• Oversee and manage confidential legal projects, including contract negotiations, intellectual property matters, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide legal support and guidance to various business units, including sales, marketing, product development, and operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corporate policies and procedures.
• Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends to advise on potential impacts and opportunities.
• Handle Privacy-related matters, including data privacy compliance, GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant regulations.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar of at least one state.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a corporate environment or technology company.
• Strong knowledge of corporate policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
