As the Agency Creative Resource Manager, your primary function is to manage the Creative Team's schedules. This includes ensuring work is assigned to the best resource based on skill sets, bandwidth, and budget. Your role is critical in ensuring the best creative output as well as efficiencies in the ebb and flow of client requests. You are the intersection between the Account Services team, the Project Management team, and the Creative team. You'll partner with the Account Services team to stay up-to-date on what's coming down the pipeline, streamline requests and help manage expectations. To accomplish this, you'll work hand in hand with the Creative Directors and Project Management team to allocate tasks to the right talent while measuring and balancing the capacity of the Creative Team. When the workload exceeds the capacity of the creative team, you will build and maintain a freelancer pool.
Core Responsibilities:
Creative Resource Management
- Serves as the link between Account Services and the Creative Directors for client requests; capturing scope details upfront from the Account Services team, noting risks, and defining timeframes according to the creative team's capacity and skills.
- Maintains constant knowledge of current and upcoming projects and business development activities as they relate to creative sourcing while managing resource capacity.
- Monitors week-to-week project resourcing, identifying potential instances of underutilization or overutilization, and actively works with Creative Directors to address and solve those issues.
- Reviews frequent client ad hoc and change requests and responds with schedule/cost impacts along with alternatives while maintaining a calm, cool, collected attitude in the face of change.
- Leads weekly meetings and monitors the day-to-day activities of the creative team and ensures work is progressing as planned.
- Works in partnership with cross-functional teams on projects, ensuring that all creative deliverables are met for the client and key parties are kept informed during the project lifecycle.
- Manages expectations with Account Services and other departmental teams.
- Manages the Agency Freelancer pool. Source, negotiate contracts, ensure they are set up operationally for success, billing, etc.
- Work with the Agency Integrated Producer to ensure that appropriate resources are secured for all production needs, including freelancers.
Qualifications:
- Prior Agency experience required
- 5+ years of experience
- Thorough knowledge of creative processes, including concepting, print, digital, motion graphics, HTML5, etc
- Expert people communicator and collaborator
