Job Summary

The CRM Product Owner will bring strategy to life by driving the definition and development of digital features and functionality for customers. This individual sets the mark for tactics to improve the customer experience and works closely with Product Managers and a cross-functional delivery team, such as Customer Experience (CX), design, communications and IT development.

Using Product Manager- and business line-driven plans as a guidepost to define detailed, actionable requirements at the feature story level for delivery teams. The CRM Product Owner will lead the product roadmap initiatives through the software development cycle, including design, development, testing, documentation, release and training. The individual in this role will help us drive action, consistency and clarity throughout the marketing and sales funnel, as well as the service experience. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Effectively conveys the product vision to the Scrum team to map a clear path and create alignment.
  • Works closely with the Product Manager and Scrum Master to ensure sprint. development goals are met, reprioritized as needed, and scope is maintained
  • Assists in creation and curation of product roadmaps.
  • Continuously works with Product Manager and key business stakeholders to prioritize and maintain the product backlog for assigned products and features.
  • Balances the requirements of customers and stakeholders and owning the decision to pivot when necessary.
  • Proactively initiates, develops and maintains effective working relationships with team members.
  • Participates in various Scrum ceremonies including Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospectives.
  • Synthesizes customer feedback from multiple sources and incorporates it into the product backlog to deliver increased value.
  • Defends the integrity of the sprint goal and the committed work.
  • Provides quick, day-to-day, just-in-time decisions to business-level questions for the team.
  • Provides sign off on product release functionality through validation of user stories and acceptance criteria.

Job Requirements

Required Education and/or Certifications

  • BA/BS preferred

Required Work Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience working as a product owner (or comparable role) in a cross-functional team environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
  • Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background

Salary Band: 06B

This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, WI, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
