Custodian

JOB Under general supervision, performs custodial duties and ensures sanitation control. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Performs general, routine custodial duties, to include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing, cleaning restrooms/kitchens, and restocking of supplies as neededPerforms routine maintenance to custodial equipment and suppliesEmpties trash receptacles, disposes trash into compactors and/or dumpsters, and bags trash for proper disposalUnlocks doors, ensuring doors are locked after cleaning areasReports needs and concerns to Custodial Supervisor, which may include submitting or recommending work orders and checking supply levels; responsible for reporting concerns related to Bexar County buildings and facilitiesEnsures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practicesDemonstrates safe and proper use of chemical/cleaning solutions and replenishing of housekeeping cartsPerforms cleaning functions specific to the assigned facilities and/or based on seasonal/project requirementsAll staff members share responsibility for delivering exceptional services and ensuring custodial guidelines are met Perform other job-related duties as assigned SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION Workstations with internet access are available, if needed, to view job postings and apply online at 211 S Flores, San Antonio, TX 78204, 8am – 5pm, Monday through Friday.
