Internship Program Overview:
Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries Fab8 in Malta NY is looking for a motivated student to join our exciting Customer Engineering Team for Summer 2025. The primary responsibility in this role would be to work with customers to plan for their New Products in Fab 8 and align internally.
Essential Responsibilities:
● Perform as technical conduit for Customer Programs from Customer Prototyping (NPI) to Product End of Life (EOL)
● Act as primary Engineering channel ensuring crisp & clear communication.
● Be the focal point for Customer communication to the Fab, aligning messaging internally and then sharing externally with the customer.
● Work with the Fab8 Production Control, Planning and Product Integration to track internal dates and On Time Delivery metrics.
● Run customer meetings, ensuring action items are aligned and followed up.
● Be a problem solver of whatever issue may arise.
● Interface with Account Managers (AM), Field Application Engineering (FAE) and Customers to enable program success.
● Achieve revenue goals and derive customer satisfaction.
Other Responsibilities:
· Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
· Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Science, Math, Engineering, Semi-Conductor Manufacturing or a related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.
· Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
· Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
· Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Prior related internship or co-op experience
· Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
