Position Summary The primary purpose of theCustomer Service Representative (CSR)/Route Driveris to ensure that assigned items, stops, pick-ups, and/or deliveries are made in a safe and efficient manner while delivering exceptional customer service. This position must be able to accept re-scheduled routes and/or accept changes to routes and requirements, as assigned. Core Responsibilities Loads, transports, and delivers confidential shredding containers to clients in a safe, timely manner Communicates changes in locations, routes; and reports challenges according to policy Drives to and from various assigned locations to ensure the safe and efficient pick-up and delivery of a variety of large, small; fragile, bulky, and/or sensitive items Responsible to carry out related duties including, but not limited to, lifting, carrying, moving, picking-up and delivering, organizing, and other duties as assigned Secures loaded product with care by hand or by use of hand-truck, dolly, or other related equipment as appropriate for safe transportation of goods Reviews and completes required paperwork before and after delivery to ensure the current status of order completion, customer satisfaction, and documentation of all changes Collects relevant and/or appropriate signatures to verify loads are picked up appropriately Ensures items are placed in the requested position at the drop off sites, and picks up items from appropriate locations Takes inventory of items and ensures that no items are lost during transportation Observes speed limits, obeys all road signs, and complies with all safety rules, standards, and regulations Participates in all required meetings Adheres to assigned routes and scheduling in a timely manner Refuels vehicles and ensure they are always ready for use Handles all products properly and reports any related damage to direct manager Accurately completes assigned paperwork for each assignment in a timely manner Determines the most efficient route to destinations to ensure timely delivery Maintains accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints Maintains accurate driving records (i.e., mileage and gas receipts) Other Responsibilities Works closely with the management/supervisory teams and other key personnel for seamless integration of responsibilities and functions Consistently meets and/or exceeds productivity goals; completes assignments in timely manner; meets competing deadlines; adheres to contractual requirements Follows communication procedures, guidelines and policies Defuses customer complaints by providing appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follows up to ensure resolution, appropriately documents situations and resolutions Maintains customer relationships by handling questions and concerns with speed and professionalism Identifies and drives process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports Maintains current on knowledge of organizational, federal, state and local policies and procedures Promotes and maintains the effectiveness and reputation of the organization Promotes strategic and generative discussions; attends meetings as required Creates correspondence, reports, and communication material as needed Elicits cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including vendors, subcontractors and other internal departments Effectively manages difficult or emotional situations; responds promptly to staff needs; solicits feedback to improve customer experiences, responds promptly and effectively to concerns/issues and develops and communicates prompt solutions; solicits appropriate advisory assistance as applicable Through formal and informal training, continues development of personal and professional skills Strives for 100% customer and program satisfaction; communicates clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and seeks clarification Follows through on all actions to ensure 100% deadline compliance Works closely with the senior management team, and other key personnel and contacts for seamless integration of responsibilities and functions Solicits internal guidance and information to promote internal initiatives and special events All other duties as assigned for the successful execution and/or completion of various projects whether or not specifically assigned Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 2+ years’ driving 26 foot box truck or similar vehicles 2+ years' customer service experience in a warehouse or related capacity Excellent attendance; punctual and dependable Exceptional communication, customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to work and drive safely in all weather conditions and perform physical requirements Time management and organizational skills to keep track of deliveries and stay on schedule Excellent navigation skills and proficiency in using navigation applications to locate drop off sites Physical stamina and sufficient upper body strength to lift, carry, load and unload heavy objects with or without assistance Ability to demonstrate moral character, honesty, tact, fairness, patience, lack of prejudice and desire to help when dealing with people of varying social, cultural and economic backgrounds; creates and promotes a harmonious work environment.
