Job Description
This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA’s family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.
This role is located onsite at our TIAA office in Virtual, CA, USA but will currently be remote.
The anticipated term of this engagement will be 7 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.CW-Lead Business Systems AnalystThe Lead Business System Analyst oversees the analysis of business and information needs in order to design optimal systems solutions. Working with limited oversight, this job reviews that designed system solutions are appropriate for business needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. This job is responsible for managing large projects and processes, while also coordinating efforts among the Business Systems team.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Provides solutions for IT and business management concerning the application of technology to business opportunities, planning and implementation of cross-functional applications.
- Monitors feedback on the use of business applications, enhancing system productivity as needed.
- Translates business requirements into application requirements, while working with all members of the team to execute the application successfully.
- Reviews cost estimates of various system solutions and reviews project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources.
- Engages client teams and explains complex security initiatives in an understandable manner, while also addressing any hesitations or concerns from the client.
- Monitors the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshooting problems, as necessary.
- Coaches and sometimes delegates work to lower level professionals.

Nuveen Asset Management LLC is seeking a Portfolio Analyst within Investment Operations to support the Leveraged Finance platform, comprising $38 billion of AUM and a broad offering of below investment grade credit capabilities, including traditional public credit (Bank loans and High Yield), structured credit/CLOs, and hedged credit (Long-Short, Convert Arb, and Distressed). The individual will work in a rapidly growing fixed income environment and should possess an understanding of leveraged loans and CLO.
The onsite locations the candidate will support includes – San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, New York, Charlotte, and Jacksonville. This is a Contingent Worker position that will be working Pacific Standard Time zone, and may be virtual-remote.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and process daily cash activity, such as interest payments, paydowns, capital calls distributions, etc.
- Reconcile cash accounts; prepare daily, weekly, monthly cash reports. Liaison with custodians, trustees on all operational issues.
- Support the monthly report reconciliation process
- Communicate with treasury, banks, general partners, or limited partners to resolve any issues related to daily operations
- Monitor CLO fund compliance on a regular basis
- Prepare journal entries related to cash, investment valuations, deal commitments, write-downs, etc.
- Assist and prepare with month-end roll-forward of loan contracts
- Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis upon request
- Be the Key contact for assigned fund(s) and maintain good working relationship with client(s)
- Ensure data integrity through end-to-end exception management across multiple systems and teams
- Responsible for assisting year-end audits.
Minimum Requirements:
- BS/BA accounting degree or related field
- Two plus of years of relevant work experience
- Good working knowledge of CLOs, and the bank loan market
- Technical Proficiency – Microsoft Office, Excel (use of pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)
- Prior experience with WSO Administrator, Bloomberg, Clearpar a plus
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with an ability to understand complex workflows
- Good understanding of operational risks and controls
- Team player, detail oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize effectively
