LOCATION: Greenwich, CT or New York, NY (Hybrid work schedule, 3 days per week in office)
JOB FUNCTION
The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for security operations, incident validation and analysis, ensuring controls are optimized and tuned to emerging threats, and reviewing emerging threats against current control sets. The ideal candidate will be required to work independently and take responsibility in the planning and coordinating of efforts with the firm’s Cyber Security team. He or she will report into the Chief Security Officer. Additional responsibilities include:
- Assisting with security infrastructure projects, maintenance, and updates.
- Reviewing events and incidents from all security controls.
- Performing data reviews, threat assessments, and threat hunting.
- Collating various sources of threat intelligence (OSINT, etc.) for review and analysis.
- Developing and enhancing security policy and standards, plus updating associated documentation.
- Performing vendor due diligence reviews and vendor risk tracking.
- Coordinating phishing campaigns and other staff training requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate should have the following experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a Security Analyst role.
- Background in Security Operations Center or equivalent experience.
- OSCP Certification preferred.
- Scripting/Coding with Python/Other.
- Security auditing of IT Infrastructure including Azure and AWS.
- Linux OS understanding.
- Cloud Security a plus.
- Splunk a plus.

The base salary range for this position in New York City is $110,000 to $140,000 In addition to base salary, Viking employees may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, 100% coverage of medical and dental premiums, and paid lunches. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be individually determined based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, and other qualifications.
